Trese on Netflix

As a true-blooded Pinoy, it is not an exaggeration to say that Trese is one of the most anticipated titles on Netflix. With the Covid-19 pandemic where almost everyone has to stay at home even while working. Streaming is a must that Netflix has become a household name.

Like I have hinted in my previous post. I am a comic-book collector and I dig everything about Marvel X-Men. From The X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, New X-Men, Astonishing X-men, Unlimited X-Men, X-Force, X-Calibur, or any titles with an X-Men, on it. Lolz.

Now going back to Trese. Of course, while my collection of Trese is not complete still I got several of its books. I mean who would ignore that book when it was a breakthrough title when it was released.

.

Trese is based on Philippine folklore that follows the adventure of Alexandra Trese playing as a mysterious detective or more like it a paranormal detective as specializes crimes related to supernatural power or in this case crime committed specifically by creatures of the Filipino folklore, like Aswang, Tiyanak, Santelmo, Tikbalang, Kapre or even the White Lady

The series is a breath of fresh air as Trese solves the crime with a twist. The graphic is superb. The animation is fun. And Manila is enchanting. I mean, we get used to the Black and White kind of Trese. And we applauded it how much more for the colorized version eh?

Now, seriously I don't want to spoil you from watching. Six episodes are not enough you know. So here, I leave you with its Trailer. Catch it on Netflix for the complete Season 1.
